MINORITY HEALTH PROGRAM

The Minority Health Program is an outreach initiative to bring awareness, education, develop community coalitions, and improve the status of minority health in Nevada as it relates to the HIV and AIDS epidemic.

This program provides consultative services and technical assistance to promote the education of HIV/AIDS among populations disproportionately affected by the disease in Nevada. The program is funded by Nevada’s Ryan White Part B Program in the goal to implement the Minority AIDS initiative to address HIV prevention, testing, linkage to care, intervention for prevention with positives, access to health care and treatment adherences.

With a key focus on:
  • African Americans/Blacks
  • Hispanics/Latinos
  • MSM
  • LGBTQ
  • Youth (13-25)
Services Offered:
  • HIV/AIDS Awareness
  • Prevention
  • Education/Trainings to individuals and groups
  • Referrals to Testing
  • Linkage to Care
